PDAS Features and Functionalities for Plagiarism Checks:

It is a self-contained, high performance Database that allows to run Plagiarism Checks against a large number of Documents.

PDAS runs exclusively on Windows family operating systems. Windows 10 is highly preferable. Windows 7, 8, Vista and Server versions are also supported.

PDAS Database capacity ranges from 1 to 2.000.000 documents. Documents are not limited in size.

PDAS can be accessed and operated via two main methods:

Standalone App - as an add-on to Plagiarism Detector Client (if installed and integrated successfully, PDC's option to run Database Checks is automatically activated).

REST API Method (PHP powered) - this option allows easy integration with any E-Learning environment (e.g. Moodle, CourseSites, Sakai 11, LatitudeLearning, Dokeos etc).

PDAS generates HTML-based Originality Reports both client side (via PDC) and server side - on it's own web server.

PDAS is optimized for modern multicore Processors. Its performance scales upwards on powerful hardware. PCIe SSDs with NVMe are highly recommended as PDAS hardware resource usage is disk intensive and CPU intensive.

PDAS Community Version - can be used free of charge in non-commercial projects. It is limited to 1000 documents. Higher capacity PDAS requires monthly subscription depending on the selected Database size.

PDAS supports three basic modes of operation (two of them are actually Plagiarism Checks):

1. Index Documents - all selected documents are added to PDAS Database Index, with no output provided.

2. Search Documents - the documents are searched against all the documents stored in PDAS Database earlier and Originality Report is generated to pinpoint any Plagiarism found.

3. Search and Index Documents - the Originality Report is generated before the document is added to the Database index. This option allows to cross-check the added documents.

PDAS has an option for Fast Document Import. This functionality is highly speed optimized. It allows to quickly add a very large amount of documents to the PDAS database in relatively small amounts of time.

PDAS contains functionality to manage stored documents easily.

PDAS contains functionality to export all the stored documents both in their original or text-only formats.

PDAS contains functionality to work over LAN or Internet environments with multiple clients simultaneously. These can be either PDC clients or REST API consumers or both.

PDAS supports document encryption (feature available on request).

PDAS supports access control (feature available on request).

All support service and any integration requests as for PDAS are free of charge.
